Description
testo 317-3 – CO Monitor
Purpose and Application
The testo 317-3 CO monitor detects the presence of carbon monoxide in the ambient environment and warns the user with audible and optical signals of hazardous CO concentrations, for example, during the setup and maintenance of gas heating appliances.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a color-less, odorless, and tasteless gas, but it possesses high toxicity. It is produced during the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing substances. Upon entering the bloodstream, CO blocks the transfer of oxygen, which can be lethal. For this reason, it is extremely necessary to regularly monitor the CO level at the combustion points of heating systems, as well as in the locations where such systems are installed.
